LATE NIGHT WOMAN'S HOUR

Format:

- Many episodes with titles such as: Fatshion, Not wanting children and more which indicate that its target audience is strictly women's based as it touches up on topics that women can relate to.

- The image is also a woman 

- The colours of pink and white signify that it is more on the feminine side (feeds onto that stereotype)

The first 45 minutes of the programme consist of reports, interviews and debates on health, education, cultural and political topics aimed at women and mothers.

- The last 15 minutes feature short-run drama serials, which periodically change.

Themes/Subjects:

The topics discussed in the first run included the dating app, Tinder and lying. The conversation was Frank and adult, being broadcast late at night, rather than during the day. Late night woman's hour is also a feminist radio broadcasting.

- Typical episodes include: Girl crush, Male and female friendships, Extreme breastfeeding, Body positivity. These are typical topics that females would feel comfort while listening.

- Emma Barnet is the presenter of Late night woman's hour, occasionally with founder Lauren Laverne, and features female guests from a range of backgrounds including science, health, entertainment.
